Pull apart travel scooter vs folding mobility scooters

Both pull-apart models and folding models are great Gophers. However, they both have their advantages and disadvantages. Depending on your primary use of the scooter, the physical capabilities of the user and your personal preferences one of these may be better suited to your needs. I have outlined some of the main Advantages and Disadvantages for you below.

Advantages of pull apart scooters.

Generally speaking, pull apart, scooters such as our Zen Lithium and Mini Comfort are more sturdy and comfortable than the smaller folding travel gophers. They offer higher weight capacities, longer battery range and faster top speed. They also have more adjustability, hence provide greater comfort to the user. They feature functions such as padded seat, adjustable seat height and rotating seat.

While some of the larger fold up scooters such as the Brio Delux also offer armrests and padded seats, the comfort is still a little greater on the pull apart model.

So to sum it up the main advantages of pull-apart travel scooters are higher performance, added stability and comfort.

Benefits of fold up scooters

The most obvious advantage of these portable scooters is their weight and ease of transport. The portable scooters range in weight between 19kg and 29kg. They can be folded by the push/pull of a lever or even automatically by using a remote. They all have Lithium Batteries and are well suited for air travel and Cruise Ships. You can choose between 3-wheel options such as the Easy Move A and Easy Move M or four wheel options such as the Transporter, Mobie, Brio and Brio Delux. All these scooters have their strengths. For example, the easy move is the lightest weighing only 19kg, while the Brio Delux is our heaviest model weighing 29kg (21kg with seat and battery removed). The Brio Delux, however, offers adjustable armrests and a padded seat.
