Whilst this undertaking can seem a bit daunting and overwhelming, it is important to remember that chairlifts are very common these days and that there are numerous different brands and models which are bound to offer the right solution for your needs.

Do I have to pay for a quotation?

No. Bluesky Healthcare provides a free consultation, stair survey and no-obligation quote. Our friendly consultant will come to your home and measure your stairs and discuss the product with you and recommend some functions that would be most suitable to your needs and to the layout of your home.


What happens during a power cut?

Your stairlift will continue to work for around 8 return journeys (depending on length, weight etc) thanks to the onboard batteries. However in order to conserve power you power swivel will be disabled and you will need to use the manual swivel.


How fast do Stannah stairlifts travel?

All Stannah Stairlifts travel at 0.1meter per second this means that if you have a 4 meter long staircase it will take you 40 seconds for a one way journey


How much noise does the stairlift make when in operation?

The Stannah chairlifts both straight and curved operate at a very low noise level, which is due to the fact that they are battery operated. So just the same as a modern electric scooter or electric car it has a vert low noise level.


How often will I have to replace the Battery in my stairlift?

Depending on the use of your chairlift, the battery should last between 3 to 5 years.


Are Chairlifts tax exempt?

Yes! According to the ATO any Medical Aids which are purpose build for the disability or aged care sector are GST free. This applies only to equipment that is not utilized by the general public. This also extends to any spare parts, which will give you peace of mind knowing that you wont have to pay tax to retain  your independence.


How long will the installation process take?

straight stair lifts can usually be installed faster than curved lifts. We always send out a team of 2 or more technicians to facilitate to installation. The installation shouldn't take longer than 3 hours.

The rail is attached to the thread of the stairs instead of the wall, eliminating the need to redecorate or cause any damage to the structure of the house.
