"On behalf of Activ Foundation, I would like to pass on our most sincere thanks for your kind help in selling the gopher. Activ Foundation was extremely pleased with the amount that the machine was sold for, and is very happy that we have some money from the sale that can help us continue the support services that we provide to people with intellectual disability in Western Australia.
Your help will go directly to benefiting Activ Foundation and the support services we provide to people with intellectual disability which include accommodation, Employment, Transport, Respite, Community Access, Recreation and Library Services.
In this our 54th year, Activ Foundation is proud of its many achievements and would not be in this position, were it not for the generosity of the Western Australian community and people like you.
Once again thank you for your support. You have helped us to create more opportunities and a better environment for people with intellectual disability.
Yours sincerely."

"I hope you got as much pleasure out of this letter as I get out of my adjustable bed. It is fabulous, a complete support even to my ankles.
I feel that this bed is a necessity, not a luxury, in the same way we regard the fridge or a TV.
For the comfort and good sleep I have had since purchasing your bed. I wish I’d had one years ago.
Yours, faithfully."

To our dear friends at Bluesky Healthcare
Just a short note to let you know that Michael is still loving his bed!!
We are so jealous & he never lets us have a turn!
With his strong extension pattern, Mike takes up every inch of the bed!
Thankyou all for being so wonderful!!
"I have been very pleased since taking delivery of one of your excellent recliner chairs. It has made all the difference to my arthritic aches and pains.
I find I can sit longer and in less pain, particularly when using the massage motors in the areas necessary. The chair looks good, is not too bulky and is well made. I look forward to many years of relief from this very worthy chair of yours I wish you and the company every success in promoting this fine product in the future.
I remain yours sincerely."

"As a Business Proprietor of some 30 years, having recently had dealings with your company on the purchase of two deluxe electric adjustable health beds. I would like to compliment you on the quality staff you have and the honest way they handled my transaction.
In the first instant Denise Smith welcomed us and even though it was out of her department made us feel very comfortable and explained matters clearly and with confidence.
Your consultant, Damian Ryan was then contacted and the understanding way he treated our purchase was something we (myself & my wife) were not anticipating. He went out of his way, I feel above the normal expectations you would expect from an employee.
Damian, was an extremely pleasant person to deal with, he was not “pushy”, showed confidence with the product and honest in every aspect.
I would have no hesitations in dealing with Damian again and would certainly recommend him as a person with product knowledge, comfortable with older people (I am 64 years), he listens and understands what the customer requests, and his genuine overall approach is something some employees lack.
Thank you for a Stress Free transaction
I remain yours faithfully."

"Thank you for your letter. I do apologise for not replying sooner tan this because it was May that you wrote.
Yes I love my scooter. I have had much pleasure & enjoyment going out and about on it. It has made my life so much easier and I find things and places so much more accessible than I did before a scooter came into my life. The difference is very marked indeed, and again my thanks and appreciation to you for all your help.
Hope you are well and busy and enjoying life. I send you my very best wishes.
Sincerely"
Marge (Chapman)
"What a lovely surprise it was to come home and find that voucher in my mailbox. I was happy to tell Mrs Dodd where I purchased my scooter, as I felt the service offered by you was excellent, (especially with the 4 punctures).
My son-in-law has offered to make me a notice to carry around on my zoom advertising your shop, in anticipation of a lot more vouchers
Once again, thank you.
Sincerely,"

"Thank you very much for all your help in choosing my new bed.
Not very often you get people as nice & thoughtful as you.
Sorry I didn’t see you again with the delivery, but have a drink on me
Thank you."

"I have recently purchased a bed 18/12/97 and a Chair 13/1/00 and wish to write and say how thrilled I am with them. They are extremely comfortable and easily controlled.
It is good also, to be able to recommend products of this quality to my friends and also know that you value & recognise customers who do this.
So I would also like to thank you for the delivery of a set of sheets in recognition that I referred my friend in ??? (Vic) to you, as a result, she purchased a bed also. She likewise is thrilled with her bed.
Your gift to me for this referral is most appreciated – it also made me feel part of the business. I suspect that when customers are valued and recognised in this way, only good things can happen to your business.
I will certainly continue to promote your products in every way possible – speaking from experience is always helpful!!
Again with sincere thanks for your service and for your recognition of valued customers
Yours Sincerely."

Guest blogger Justin Eveson pops into Bluesky to give us all an update on his preparations for London 2012...Justin has just arrived in Italy to fullfill a 6 month playing contract that will lead him into London
La Dolce Vita
Well it has been a little while since my last blog, but this will be the first one from our new home in Rome!
The first thing I want to talk about is our journey here with a 2 month old baby Hugo, over the years I have experienced many flights with the screaming baby up front so I know what it could have been like but we must have had some serious karma up our sleeves as the guy was an absolute little champ on the way over, sleeping for most of the flight and only really waking to have a feed or change, but I think the thing that most impressed me was he equalized the air pressure all by himself on take-off while his mum and dad watched nervously with dummy, bottle and toys at the ready!
Arriving back at Fiumicino airport brought back a lot of memories for me, it has been four years since I played in Italy and even though my Italian was a little rusty we got the basics sorted out pretty quickly: setting up house; re-learning to drive on the other side of the road; Italian SIM card; internet at home and getting reacquainted with my old friend the Diavola pizza (hot salami pizza with olives)!
We then settled into a pretty heavy training regime as the two other Australian players here (Michael and Brad) and I were preparing for the qualifying tournament for the London Paralympics as well as getting straight into the Italian League. Playing for a new team there is always a bit of settling in period but luckily I knew most of the guys already which made the transition a bit easier and this showed on the court as we put four games on the trot into the win column.
Paralympic Qualifiers
It felt like no sooner had we arrived in Italy I had to leave again, which was made much more difficult as I was now heading to South Korea for the next 10 days and I had not been apart from Hugo for more than a weekend before. I can tell you that while Skype is a fantastic thing there is no substitute for a hug from my boy J.
It was great to catch up with the Rollers again though as we embarked upon the next step in our journey towards defending our gold medal in London. The Asia Oceana zone allows two teams to qualify for the Paralympic Games which means four of the six teams there miss out and as expected there was some heated competition for those spots. The Rollers made it through to the tournament undefeated, but the final pool game between Japan and South Korea was an absolute nailbiter with the hometown heroes going down by one point to round out the two London qualifiers.
So with Japan, and most importantly, the Aussie Rollers booking their tickets to London we were on the first plane back to Rome and a family reunion! Look out for my next blog for an insight into Italian life and a round-up of our tough games ahead, ciao ciao!
